PDAs: Two New Models Offer the Best of All Worlds Cellular phone companies and personal digital assistant (PDA) manufacturers have been battling it out to win the war of incorporating all available mobile tools into one single portable device. Although there have been some great advancements in recent products, I continued to carry a Palm, a phone, and a camera when I showed office space—until last week.
Yoav Ben-Shushan, an agent from my office at Starboard TCN recently, purchased a Blackberry 7230 from T-Mobile. This device is close to perfection. It is a lightweight phone that has a big enough screen to view email and the Web but small enough to use as a phone. With its color screen and its ability to synchronize with Microsoft Outlook, Blackberry 7230 does it all.
Another excellent alternative is the Treo 600 from PalmOne. The Treo 600 provides the best of both worlds. It has all of the features of both a high end PDA and all of the tools found on the most expensive phones for voice and data. It also has an excellent speakerphone that can be used while performing PDA functions.
Both these PDAs can help the mobile real estate agent become more efficient in everyday business.
